It has been a little while since I posted, but this shoot was very special and I want to share it.

A new arrival is always an extraordinary occasion in a family.

As well as shooting Mum & Dad with their special joy, for this family I was also able to shoot four generations of proud and strong women together. (OK, Ziva was only four weeks old at the time, but if her voice is anything to go by, she will be following in the family tradition).

Great-Grandmother is a holocaust survivor and it is a blessing for me to share in the joy of these four generations together.

Family portraits – capturing the joy!

Some families are a real pleasure to photograph. The Ronas’ filled the air around them with fun and laughter, and so capturing them was a treat. And look what can be achieved with simple lighting techniques  – an image that lifts off the page! They are faced with a small dilemma though – do they choose the colour or the old-school black and white for their large-scale canvas print?

Which one would you choose?
